Creature From the Black Lagoon Pinball Machine by Bally
The Creature game from the Black Lagoon Pinball machine was developed by John Trudeau (“Dr Flash”) in the year 2000 and was released through Midway (under the Bally brand name). It loosely takes inspiration from the film with the identical name. The theme of the game is the 1950’s drive-in cinema. The game’s main feature is a holographic character located on the playing field that is lit up and moves its “hand” around when playing multiball.
The holograph is surrounded by a green plastic insert to make the creature appear green. It was licensed by Universal Studios by Bally so that the backglass artwork, cabinet art, and the beast appeared like original film actors and monsters.
